ROOKHOW ASSISTANT DEVELOPMENT WORKER

We are currently seeking an Assistant Development Worker to work alongside our current Development Manager in supporting the running of Rookhow, a Quaker charity in South Cumbria. Rookhow’s 300 year old Quaker Meeting House and Bunkbarn provides a residential setting for family, school and other groups, provides subsidised stays for community organisations, and runs Quaker and other events.
The role is varied encompassing a variety of practical tasks, responsibilities and administration functions.
We are looking for a person who is well organised, familiar with word processing software, spreadsheets and email, and has experience of working with volunteers and members of the public. The person will be expected to undertake an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. The person needs to be in sympathy with Quaker values.
Number of hours: 35 hours per calendar month
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Location: You will be expected to work on site on some Fridays and at other times remote working will be possible.
Type of contract: Permanent/part-time
