ROOKHOW
LAKE DISTRICT group accommodation & woodland
GROUP MEETING SPACE
The historic 300 year old Grade II* listed Quaker Meeting House opposite the Bunkbarn provides extra group activity and sleeping space for families and organisations. It's popular with yoga groups, training sessions, retreats and for mid week day bookings in conjunction with the woodland.
There are 2 rooms: the large Meeting Room and a smaller 'Friends Room', both with woodburners. The original stone floors have been renovated and are now heated by an air source heat pump. There is also a simple day kitchen for tea and coffee making and 2 toilets (one accessible).
Bring your own mats, sleeping bags & pillows for sleeping.
Please note for overnight stays, the Meeting House cannot be hired on its own. It needs to be hired in addition to the Bunkbarn, as the main kitchen is in the Bunkbarn.
We welcome people of any faith or none to Rookhow. Please be aware that the Meeting House is still used as a place of worship for Quaker Meetings so we ask that you respect the space and leave it how you find it.
