CULTIVATING PEACE: 12 HABITS OF A RECONCILER

15th-17th May 2026

A weekend led by Hannah Larn (photo) and Anna Caffell from the Rose Castle Foundation. Throughout our reflective time together we’ll be exploring the 12 habits of a reconciler, including gratitude, creativity, curiosity, and how to hold on to hope, especially during times of conflict and change.

These 12 habits have been seen time and time again among ordinary peacemakers who have managed to cross deep lines of division and sow lasting peace in their local communities. We’ll be sharing some practical tools and reflective practices to encourage us to build these practices into our everyday lives, so we too can be people of peace in our communities.

A FOUNDATION TRAINING IN NON VIOLENT COMMUNICATION

16TH-18TH October 2026

With Shona Cameron

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a practical, learnable process for communicating with empathy, honesty, power and compassion. The purpose of NVC is to ensure everyone’s needs are valued equally and fulfilled in ways that contribute to connection, harmony and peace. Nonviolent Communication develops people’s ability to listen to and transform blame, anger and criticism into respectful, constructive communication, and to resolve conflicts peacefully.

NVC is a means for giving feedback empathically, so as to sustain self esteem, and enable people to learn and grow. NVC has a profound effect on our relationships and on the contexts of our lives.

This training which presents the concepts and tools used in NVC; introduces you to the steps of the NVC process for use in expressing yourself to others, listening to others and listening compassionately to yourself, will give you sufficient information and practice to start using NVC in your daily life.
