ROOKHOW

LAKE DISTRICT group accommodation & woodland

WINTER QUAMPING

We're offering simple Winter Quamping (a bit like Glamping or Champing, but in a Quaker Meeting House rather than a tent or church!) during the Bunkbarn closure from the end of November to the end of March 2024. In includes the yurt (with woodburner) too. Availability over Christmas and New Year. Take a look at our new page for more details.

COME STAY WITH US

Escape to the heart of the Lake District, but leave the crowds behind. Rookhow is a secluded haven of tranquility, set in 12 acres of ancient oak woodland nestled between Coniston and Lake Windermere.

Stay in our cosy 16 bed self-catering Bunkbarn with its log fires and snug sitting room and make use of our campfire, outdoor seating area and newly renovated yurt with woodburner in the middle of the woods.

For active families and friends groups or extended family celebrations, Rookhow is the perfect destination for your adventure break or relaxing holiday in the Lake District.

Our unique and historic site also includes a 300 year old historic Quaker Meeting House for extra group & workshop space. Space to camp too.

"The fire pit in the middle of the woods was exactly what we were looking for, staying late in front of the fire and enjoying the nature around us. The perfect way to really reconnect with nature."
