"It was spacious, the living room and kitchen was a good size for a big group and the well-stocked kitchen was brilliant. The children loved the room upstairs with the little attached playroom. The woods surrounding Rookhow are wonderful and it was great to have a fire pit." (yoga group, Sept 2019)
"Baby robins were adorable! A tawny owl sat on a bench one night and did big poops. Buzzards were very squeaky." (family, August 2020)

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
Mobile signal at Rookhow is poor and there's no wifi. A chance to get away from it all!
Due to the historic nature of Rookhow we have no disabled facilities. There are steps in the accommodation and the toilet's not big! This is something we are sorting out for the future.
Car parking: space for about 10 cars outside the bunkbarn.
Bike storage: bikes can be stored undercover in the gig barn. There is an outside tap and hose for washing bikes.
The nearest pub The Manor House is 2 miles away in Oxen Park.
Parties are fine but we ask you to respect the historic buildings and our beautiful woodland. Please leave Rookhow as you found it.
The Quaker Meeting House is still used as a place of worship so please respect the space.
Safeguarding: groups are responsible for their own safeguarding procedures. We may ask to see a copy of your Safeguarding Policy.
During the Covid-19 pandemic we're asking guests to bring their own hand towels & teatowels, to strip beds and sort rubbish and recycling, giving our cleaner more time to thoroughly clean for the next group.
A flat, level, grassy space at the back of the bunkbarn for camping.
Space for about 8 tents: £10 (adults) & £5 (children) per night when hired with Bunkbarn.
